Surfing with a Pencil (and Sharpie)

I saw a post with an animation cel from a movie made back in the 1970s, with two characters created as hybrids between the 1930s style of the torso made from two circles connected by a pair of curves, but instead of the "noodle" limbs, they had elbows and knees, and heads, hands, and feet proportioned larger. This method makes it much easier to make poses and angles without fretting over shoulders and precision. The cel was from the Ralph Bakshi film Wizards, and is a study of the body style as an excellent base to build from. Some build off of Disney, Warner Bros, Anime/Manga, and Cal Arts; I like the classic cartoons and comic strips.
