  My YouTube surfing yielded an early 1970s Soviet digital display with 8 segments -- I figured that adding two vertical centerline segments would produce the letters of the English Alphabet without a lot of compromise -- now it's a motif for that sci-fi that I'm planning to title "Rift Jumpers"

JavaScript (P5.js) Curiosity  I copied schedules from Amtrak (white traces), NCTD Coaster (cyan traces between Oceanside and San Diego), and Los Angeles Metrolink (other colors, routes that diverged from the LOSSAN Corridor only show traces for the portions on the corridor) into a JS script that I created out of curiosity and can see where they pass each other. The cities on the X-axis aren't to scale, and the single-track sections such as along the Del Mar Bluffs between Sorrento Valley and Solana Beach, but as the LOSSAN Corridor double-tracking projects progress, there will soon be even more trains plying this corridor.

The challenges amounted to nothing, but the suit remains as my perfect "main" with the addition of Captain Olimar accessories for upcoming opportunities. Photos are pretty rare, and even more so are the sought-after group photos. As it would turn out, some of that is due to the "gatekeeperism" and "cliqueism" that had firmly planted itself in cosplay in Southern California. Nowadays the struggle is against the limitations and precautions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic; I do have some Marvel & DC outfits "on reserve" for when things can open up again, but in many cases there are close-knit groups and I don't want to try to pry open a slot for myself in front ...

  I did more sorting through my "junk boxes" tonight, and came across a painted rock from the only event that I would ever do with a local group that does the Fun Runs as well as other health-related activities. My wish was to have continued to do events as a "mascot" of sorts (there was a lot of enthusiasm) with the group, but unfortunately that will never happen. This rock is the one lasting memory.

Surfing with a Pencil (and Sharpie) I saw a post with an animation cel from a movie made back in the 1970s, with two characters created as hybrids between the 1930s style of the torso made from two circles connected by a pair of curves, but instead of the "noodle" limbs, they had elbows and knees, and heads, hands, and feet proportioned larger. This method makes it much easier to make poses and angles without fretting over shoulders and precision. The cel was from the Ralph Bakshi film Wizards, and is a study of the body style as an excellent base to build from. Some build off of Disney, Warner Bros, Anime/Manga, and Cal Arts; I like the classic cartoons and comic strips. Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0

I've discovered more events, and even have been accepted into a "causeplay" group based in Sacramento! Also I'm building more elements for pixel art, including "vector lines" and making both 640x240 monochrome (retro computer monitors) and 320x240 4-bit pixels (retro games) easier to set up.

  For the first time in two years, and not just because of the covid-19 pandemic, I have cosplay plans! My X-Men Unlimited tunic will be my "main" with the "Bubble Boy Space Adventurer" outfit for the Riverside gathering and the promised video and photo shoot from three years ago. Along with this is my buildup of elements in Javascript to start making Pixel Art in earnest :-)
